I have recently discovered that Gmail is putting mail from blogs under the “Promotions” tab of the Inbox, as in this picture:

This is a questionable move, since I don’t sell or promote anything, and I point you to this post from Seth Godin for more considerations on the matter:  http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2018/01/an-open-note-to-google.html
There are some quick moves that you can take avoid losing blog emails: remove the Promotions tab, clicking on emails to move them to the Primary tab or change Inbox type (e.g. the Priority Inbox, or removing every tab).
